Terms of service
Last updated 6 September 2026
These terms cover the Archst app and the paid consultations sold on this site. By using either, you agree to them.
Who we are
Archst is operated by Shreyas Kali, an individual trading from Indore, MP, India. Contact details are on our contact page. In these terms, "we" and "Archst" mean that person, and "you" means the person using the app or buying a consultation.
The most important thing on this page
Archst produces estimates, not quotations. Every figure in the app is an indicative Indian market band, based on published rates and our own experience. It is not a quotation, no contractor is bound by it, and the price you are actually quoted will differ.
We are not architects. Archst is a design and budgeting consultancy and is not registered with the Council of Architecture. We do not provide licensed architectural services, structural certification, or any drawing that can be submitted for statutory approval. Where the app or a consultant discusses bye-laws, setbacks or minimum dimensions, those vary by state, city and plot, and you must verify them with a qualified local professional before relying on them.
Decisions about your building are yours. We will give you our honest assessment; we cannot and do not guarantee the outcome of a construction project we do not control.
The app
The Archst Android app is provided free of charge. There is no account, and everything you enter is stored on your own device. You may use it for your own home or homes.
You may not resell it, reverse engineer it, or extract our rate library for use in a competing product. The rates, styles, guides and written content in the app are ours.
The app is provided as it is. We update the rate library periodically, but we do not promise it will be current, uninterrupted, or free of errors — and because your data is only on your device, we cannot restore it if you lose your phone or erase the app.
Paid consultations
When you book and pay for a consultation:
- You are buying a named person's time for a stated duration, delivered on a scheduled video call.
- The Plan review is ₹2,500 for 45 minutes, inclusive of taxes, payable in advance.
- We will read what you send us before the call and give you our honest assessment on it. We do not promise any particular conclusion, saving, or outcome.
- What we tell you is advice. Acting on it is your decision, and you remain responsible for your own contracts, payments and approvals.
- Cancellation and refunds are governed by our refund and cancellation policy.
Design and project management engagements are quoted individually. The written quote you accept governs that work, and where it differs from this page, the quote wins.
Payment
Payments are processed by PayU. All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes. Your card, UPI and banking details are entered on PayU's own page and are never received or stored by us. PayU's own terms apply to that part of the transaction.
We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects a booking you have already paid for.
Your side of it
You agree to give us accurate information about your project — a review built on a made-up budget or an invented plot size is worth nothing to either of us. You agree not to record a consultation without telling us first, and not to misuse or abuse the people delivering it.
We may decline or cancel a booking, with a full refund, if we believe we cannot help you or if the engagement would be improper.
Liability
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Beyond that: our total liability to you for anything arising out of the app or a consultation is limited to the amount you actually paid us — which for the free app is nil, and for a plan review is ₹2,500. We are not liable for construction cost overruns, contractor disputes, delays, statutory refusals, or business or indirect losses. Those are the ordinary risks of building, and the app exists to make them visible, not to underwrite them.
Intellectual property
The Archst name, the app, its rate library, its written guides and this site are ours. The plan you create in the app is yours, and you may share it however you like.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Indore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change never applies retrospectively to a consultation you have already paid for.
