Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated 6 September 2026
Short version: cancel a call more than 24 hours ahead and you get all of it back. Cancel a drawing set before we start and you owe nothing; after we start, you pay for the stage we have reached and keep what has been drawn.
What you are buying
Two different things, and they are refunded differently.
A consultation is a block of a person's time on a scheduled video call. The quote audit is ₹1,500 and the plan review is ₹2,500, both inclusive of taxes.
A drawing set — architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, interiors, or a BOQ — is work produced over days or weeks by an architect or engineer engaged for your project. It is charged per square foot of built-up area at the rates on our home page, against a scope and a fee agreed with you in writing first.
Drawing work is not paid for online. It is invoiced and settled by cheque or bank transfer, so a "refund" here means we return money you have already transferred to us, to the account it came from. Nothing about it goes through a payment gateway, and there is no card transaction to reverse.
Design and project management work is quoted individually and is covered by the written quote you accept, not by this page.
Cancelling or rescheduling
- More than 24 hours before your slot — cancel or reschedule for free. If you cancel, you get a full refund of ₹2,500. If you reschedule, we simply move the booking and nothing is charged again.
- Within 24 hours of your slot — you can reschedule once at no cost. A cancellation inside 24 hours is not refundable, because the slot was held for you and can no longer be given to someone else.
- If you do not attend and have not told us, the fee is not refundable.
Cancel or reschedule from the link in your booking confirmation email, or write to us at archst.app@gmail.com.
After a consultation
Once the consultation has been delivered it is not refundable. You have received a person's time and their assessment of your plan, and that cannot be returned.
The exception is our own failure. If we do not turn up, cut the call short, or cannot deliver the session for any reason on our side, you get a full refund — you do not have to ask, and you do not have to argue about it. We will also offer to rebook.
Cancelling a drawing set
A drawing set cannot be un-drawn, so it is settled by stage rather than all-or-nothing. What you have paid for, you keep — we send you the files for every stage you have been billed for, in PDF and DWG. Where you have paid in advance of the stage reached, the balance is refunded to your bank account.
- Before we start drawing — you owe nothing, and anything already transferred comes back in full. Work does not begin until you have agreed the scope in writing, so there is a clear line here.
- After the concept layout is shared and before the working drawings — you pay 30% of the agreed figure and the rest is refunded. You keep the concept.
- After working drawings are shared — you pay 70%. You keep everything issued to that point.
- Once the full set has been issued — it is not refundable. The work has been done and delivered, and it is yours to use.
Two rounds of revision are included in every set. If the drawings do not match the scope we agreed in writing, that is not a revision — it is our error, and we correct it at no charge and with no limit until they do.
If we cannot deliver — the architect becomes unavailable, we cannot staff your city, or we simply take too long against the date we gave you — you get a full refund of everything not yet delivered, whatever stage we are at. You do not have to argue for it.
If a payment fails or is charged twice
If money leaves your account but your booking does not appear, do not pay again. Write to us with the reference number shown on your confirmation screen and we will trace it.
A duplicate charge, or a payment for a booking that was never created, is refunded in full. Payments that fail at the gateway are usually reversed automatically by your bank within 5–7 working days without us doing anything.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method — the same UPI ID, card or bank account the money came from. Where you paid an invoice by cheque or bank transfer, the refund goes back to that same bank account. We cannot redirect a refund elsewhere.
- We process approved refunds within 2 working days of agreeing them.
- Your bank or UPI provider then takes a further 5–7 working days to credit it. That part is outside our control.
- Refunds are made in full. We do not deduct the payment gateway's fee from your refund.
How to ask for a refund
Email archst.app@gmail.com or message +91 99930 23095 on WhatsApp with your booking reference. We reply within 2 working days, and we will tell you plainly whether the refund is due and when it will arrive.
The free parts of Archst never involve a payment. The app, its cost estimates, the tracker and the WhatsApp question line are all free and always will be, so there is nothing to refund on any of them.
